The 1 -2 -3 of voting in the State Primary and Presidential Elections in Burlington
We are quickly approaching our Fall elections for the year, you might be thinking about when is the best time for me to vote in the season of COVID.
There are Three Ways that you have to cast your Ballot for the Fall Elections:

The First Way that you can vote is come to the Polls on Election Day. The polling hours for Tuesday, September 1, 2020, State Primary Election will be from 7am – 8pm. All Burlington precincts vote at the Burlington High School, in the Gyms around the back of the school.

OR the Second Way that you can vote if you want is Early Mail-in Voting. Voters may apply at the Drop Box on the steps of Town Hall or through the mail. If the ballot is to be mailed, please apply far enough in advance so that the ballot can be mailed and returned by the close of polls. Applications are also available at www.burlington.org click the link on the front page under Town News or in the box on the table at the front door of Town Hall. You can drop your application in the Town Mail box right there at the front door drop box even while Town Hall is closed. You may be receiving an application mailed from the State in the next couple of weeks as well and the deadline for requesting a Mail in Ballot is August 26 th at 5 PM.

Or the Third Way is we will again be having In Person Early Voting, early voting is for every registered voter. In Burlington, Early Voting In Person will be done at the Grand View Farm Hall, 55 Center St.. Early Voting will be August 22nd through 28 th . Early Voting hours will be Saturday and Sunday; 2 PM to 8 PM; Monday through Thursday; 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM with extended hours on Wednesday until 7 PM; and Friday 8:30 AM to 1 PM.
Regardless of whether a voter wants to take advantage of Mail-in, Early In-person or vote on Election Day, the first step is making sure you are registered. To check to see if you are registered to vote, and to find information on how to register to vote, you may visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website: www.sec.state.ma.us/ele . You need to have a valid driver’s license or an I.D. issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles to apply online. To be eligible to vote in the September 1 st , State Primary Election, you must register to vote or make any necessary changes to your voter registration by August 22nd.
